OUR APPROACH
Studio: AZ design is a multi-disciplinary practice specializing in custom residential and commercial projects, merging architecture, interior & landscape into a unified process to create thoughtfully designed and meticulously crafted buildings. We strive to achieve harmony between architecture and it’s environment thru fastidious use of space and light, physical and visual connections to nature, and use of natural, honest, and textural materials. We are driven by the challenge of translating our client’s project parameters with enthusiasm and imagination, into aesthetically refined and functionally pragmatic buildings.
Arin Zarookian, Principal
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Arin Zarookian’s appreciation for Architecture began at a very young age. His interests deepened during his apprenticeship at his father’s design/build firm between 1996-1999.
After receiving his Bachelor’s of Architecture in 2006, from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc,) Arin spent several years honing his craft under various Architects and Interior Designers, as well as pursuing his interests, education, and experience in Landscape Architecture, Sustainable Design, and LEED AP Accreditation.
In 2012 he founded studio:AZ design with a commitment to combining the various aspects of design into an integrated and thorough process that results in a cohesive product; consistent in its ideology, honest in it’s materiality, and sensitive in it’s connection with its natural surroundings.
